The Best Prismatic Builds in Destiny 2: The Final Shape
Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Final Shape, introduces Prismatic subclasses, blending Light and Darkness into potent combinations never before seen. With the ability to wield both alignments simultaneously, you can craft dynamic builds that cater to diverse playstyles and preferences. Drawing insights from the Destiny community, this article will show you some of the best Prismatic builds for all classes. I’ll provide a quick overview of the playstyle, any requirements, and my own DIM link so you can save the build yourself.
Hunter Builds
Celestial Nighthawk Raid Boss Hunter Build
The Celestial Nighthawk Hunter build has made its way around the entire Destiny 2 community at this point. With the addition of the Still Hunt sniper rifle, this build has become a monster at boss DPS and it has great survivability on Prismatic. It’s also very flexible as you can change the grenade and melee to suit your preferences.
- Aspects: Stylish Executioner, Winter’s Shroud
- Fragments: Facet of Courage, Facet of Hope, Facet of Dawn, Facet of Protection, Facet of Purpose
For boss damage with this build, you want to immediately pop Golden Gun and Cayde’s Retribution from your Still Hunt sniper rifle. After doing damage with those, swap to a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, or other heavy damage weapon. After that’s empty, swap back to Still Hunt and shoot until you activate your second Cayde’s Retribution. You can also dodge to reload Still Hunt and keep shooting. Make sure you have Powerful Attraction on your boots to suck up all the nearby orbs of power when you dodge.

Combination Blow Melee Hunter Build
This build is a new twist on an old classic hunter build. The arc melee “combination blow” has always paired well with the exotic armor Liar’s Handshake, but now hunters are able to use Prismatic to get the same effect. And if you’ve been farming exotic class items on hunter, keep an eye out for one with Liar’s Handshake. You can pair Spirit of the Liar with some awesome perks like Spirit of the Dragon to reload your weapons, Spirit of Inmost Light to empower your other two abilities, or Spirit of Caliban to trigger ignitions on powered melee final blows!
Combination Blow: A quick strike that temporarily increases your melee damage when defeating a target, stacking three times. Defeating targets with this ability also fully refills your class ability energy and restores a small amount of health.
- Aspects: Stylish Executioner, Winter’s Shroud (these are basically a lock on all hunter builds)
- Fragments: Facet of Courage, Facet of Sacrifice, Facet of Generosity, Facet of Protection, Facet of Purpose
Facet of Generosity is more for raids and coop activities when you want to create orbs for your team. Swap it out with something else if you’re solo. The gameplay loop of this build is very satisfying. Dodge near enemies to slow them, then melee to get a kill on a smaller red bar enemy. Keep dodging and melee until you build up combination blow x3 for big damage on elite enemies.

Warlock Builds
Getaway Artist Buddy Warlock Build
This Prismatic Warlock build has become very popular in the Destiny 2 community. It uses the exotic armor Getaway Artist to spawn a supercharged arc soul when consuming your grenade. Pair this with a solar buddy, from the new aspect Hellion, and you have 2 sources of light damage that will target enemies for you!
You can learn more about the playstyle of this build by watching my YouTube video.
- Aspects: Feed the Void, Hellion (these are basically a lock on all Warlock builds) – you could swap Feed the Void for Bleak Watcher if you want another companion in the form of a stasis turret. Personally, I prefer Devour.
- Fragments: Facet of Dominance, Facet of Protection, Facet of Generosity, Facet of Awakening, Facet of Courage
Facet of Generosity is more for raids and coop activities when you want to create orbs for your team. Swap it out with something else if you’re solo. This build also provides a source of weakening, so you can pair it with Void weapons and utilize the artifact mod: Expanding Abyss.

Apotheosis Veil Warlock Build
The Warlock’s newest super, Song of Flame is incredibly strong for ad clear and does surprisingly good damage against elites and bosses. I’ve been using it in Salvation’s Edge for defeating Subjugators quickly. To boost the damage of Song of Flame, we’re going to make a build around the exotic helmet, Apotheosis Veil. This helmet can increase your Song of Flame damage to compete with some of the most damaging supers in the game! And, for boss DPS, you can always use a demolitionist rocket for easy reloads and pop transcendence for 5% increased damage (stacks with everything!).
- Aspects: Feed the Void, Hellion (these are basically a lock on all Warlock builds)
- Fragments: Facet of Dominance, Facet of Protection, Facet of Awakening, Facet of Sacrifice, Facet of Purpose
This build also provides a source of weakening (vortex grenade), so you can pair it with Void weapons and utilize the artifact mod: Expanding Abyss. Check out the inventory screens below to set it up yourself or copy this Apotheosis Veil DIM Link.
Titan Builds
Admittedly, Titan probably got the worst end of the stick for Prismatic builds. A lot of the abilities chosen for the Titan Prismatic kit aren’t the best from that subclass. But either way, there are some really fun Titan builds you can still check out! Twilight Arsenal, Titan’s newest void super is really fun to play and does quite a bit of damage! It also is a source of weaken, which pairs really well with the new artifact mod: Expanding Abyss.
Hazardous Propulsion Rocket Build
For the Titan Prismatic Build we’re going to focus on the new exotic chest armor Hazardous Propulsion. With this exotic armor, your precision weapon hits and final blows load rockets. Activating a class ability fires these rockets and gives you a damage bonus to your rockets. This includes all power ammo rockets, rocket sidearms, Dragon’s Breath, Grand Overture, and more!
The gameplay loop is smooth and easy with this build because we’re using Thruster to activate the rockets instead of a barricade. You can also decide to use Drengr’s Lash aspect to suspend with your class ability as well. However, don’t count out Diamond Lance because the freeze and stasis shatter is a great addition to the build. This build is also incredibly tanky due to this season’s artifact mod Galvanic Armor which gives you 30% damage resistance while amplified. The aspect Knockout will make you amplified when you get a melee kill!
- Aspects – Diamond Lance, Knockout (you can switch Diamond Lance for your preference)
- Fragments – Facet of Command, Facet of Dominance, Facet of Hope, Facet of Awakening, Fact of Protection.
