New Destiny 2 Weapon Crafting Bug. Here’s How to Craft One.

New Destiny 2 Weapon Crafting Bug. Here’s How to Craft One.

Destiny 2 is Bugged again and you can MERGE crafted weapons.

With no surprise to anyone, Bungie’s Destiny 2 is bugged again, but this time players are able to merge two crafted weapons together to make some seriously fun combos! We’ve seen aggressive frame Ammit auto rifles in Trials of Osiris and the Eremite Fusion Rifle with the Dead Messenger intrinsic perk Trinary Vision, causing it to one-shot Champions in Grandmaster Nightfalls.

Bungie is aware of this bug and issued this statement on the Bungie Help Twitter.

They do not have any plans to disable Trials of Osiris, but do plan to bring Igneous Hammer (adept) back as a reward ASAP in case you are unable to go flawless this weekend due to the bug. Or maybe you’ll be able to go flawless because of this bug! So take advantage while you can, whether that’s in PvE, PvP, or even Gambit! Bungie has stated that using this exploit/bug is not a bannable offense, but that your weapons will be removed when they fix the bug. However, make sure you don’t abuse any external scripts or macros as that IS a bannable offense.

So now that you know what’s going on, how can you take advantage of it? All you need is access to the Enclave and some crafting patterns. If you do, you can take the intrinsic of any craftable weapon and put it on another craftable weapon. Because this requires some lag/delay in your menus, this will be easier to do on an older console or with frames locked to 30fps. If you’re having trouble with the instructions below, try downloading a game in the background or have some live streams running on PC. Anything you can do to delay the menu navigation in game.

Here’s how to combine your crafted weapons in Destiny 2

Step 1: Go to your settings in Destiny 2. Turn on Framerate Cap Enabled and put your Framerate Cap to 30. This is to slow down the game and cause a bit of lag. For console, try an older generation or download a game in the background.

Step 2: Go to the Enclave and shape a weapon in the crafting menu. Navigate to Special Weapons, Shotguns, then put your cursor on the Imperial Decree shotgun (for this example).

Step 3: Click once on the Imperial Decree, press A to navigate over to primary ammo type weapons, and quickly click again. You need to do this before the game loads up the Imperial Decree crafting screen, click on the Ammit AR2 auto rifle (you can spam it).

This is the easiest example, if you have both of these weapons available to craft, because they’re in the same position and you don’t need to move your cursor. If you see the Ammit crafting screen, but “Aggressive Frame” as the intrinsic perk, then you’ve done it correctly. Watch the video below if you need a visual guide on how to merge crafted weapons.

I hope that helps you have some fun with cool weapon combos in Destiny 2 this weekend! Try it out before they fix it and let me know if you find any cool combos!
