This is the 1-50 leveling guide for Flame Sorcerer in Season 2 in Diablo IV. This combines Firewall and Hydra for a strong burn damage over time build! With the new S2 Sorcerer Aspects that increase our DoT damage tremendously and the vampiric powers for conjurations, this leveling build will be very strong. At end game, we’ll transition this into our experimental Burn DoT Conjuration Sorcerer Build.

For the most efficient leveling, head to the Domhaine Tunnels dungeon, which will be the main source of XP for levels 1-50 in Season 2. There will be good enemy density and allow you to burn down mobs for XP. For more information about the build, skill rotation and setup, check out the YouTube video below.

Levels 1-14

• 2 – Arc Lash – Because we don’t have enough burn damage early on, we use arc lash to farm xp faster.
• 3 – Enhanced Arc Lash
• 4 – Fireball
• 5 – Enhanced Fireball
• 6 – Fireball
• 7 – Greater Fireball
• 8 – Flame Shield
• 9 – Teleport
• 10 – Enhanced Flame Shield
• 11 – Enhanced Teleport
• 12 – Hydra
• 13 – Enhanced Hydra
• 14 – Summoned Hydra

At level 15, you’ll grab your first enchantment as Sorcerer. Pick up Fireball Enchantment, one of the best early game enchants that will help you with AOE damage and even works for your teammates! At this point, you should also be done with the first part of your season journey, allowing you to pick up the Sorcerer aspect Battle Caster’s. Put this aspect on your ring since you won’t be swapping that out as much as your weapon.

• Battle Caster’s Aspect – Lucky Hit: When your Conjuration Skills hit you have up to a 40% chance to gain +1 Rank to your Conjuration skills for 12 seconds. This can stack up to 3 times.

For your vampiric powers, choose Coven’s Fangs and Prey on the Weak. These give us Vampiric Curse and Vulnerable.

Levels 15-31

• 15 – Precision Magic

At level 32, slot your second enchantment. Pick from either Firewall or Hydra. Firewall Enchantment is better for leveling in my opinion because it add more AOE damage instead of single target from the hydras.

Levels 32-42

• 32 – Firewall
• 33 – Fiery Surge
• 34 – Combustion
• 35 – Shimmering Teleport
• 36 – Align the Elements
• 37 – Mana Shield
• 38 – Mana Shield
• 39 – Mana Shield
• 40 – Glass Cannon
• 41 – Glass Cannon
• 42 – Glass Cannon

Now that you’re level 43, let’s grab some more aspects and vampiric powers. First up, Undying vampiric power. For major powers, when you can grab Flowing Veins but you may not get to it while leveling. Next, Aspect of Disobedience for stacking armor and survivability.
