Lycanvolt 2.0 – Lightning Storm Druid Build S2

Lycanvolt 2.0 – Lightning Storm Druid Build S2

How the Build Works

Welcome to the updated build guide for my Lycanvolt Druid. This is originally a build I put together in Season 1 and now it has been updated with the Season 2 mechanics. This build is the most comfortable nightmare dungeon farmer out of all of the builds that I’ve put out. This build will do all end game content. It bosses relatively well, but it really shines in mobbing. You will one-hit entire packs of nightmare 100 Elites, it’s just crazy. Today I want to break down everything that you need to do in order to use this build and why I’m doing the things that I am to get this much damage. I hope you enjoy the guide!

Why Companions?

The first thing to talk about is why we are using companions. Why have you been seeing so many companion Druid builds right now… So, the best way that I can describe it is they took a lot of our multiplicative damage OUT of our inherent gear. We are no longer getting crit and vulnerable multipliers endlessly, they now have caps. So we need to look for damage multiplication outside of our inherent stats. We need to find that on aspects our Paragon board and uniques. Now, one of the biggest damage multipliers that you can get in the game for druid right now is simply companions. The Shepherd’s Aspect, which I used in my PoisonSplosion build, reads “Core Skills deal an additional 20% damage for each active Companion.” We’re going to have 4 ravens, we’re going to have 3 wolves, and we’ve got 2 poison creepers. This gives us 9 companions for 180% multiplicative increased damage to our core skills. I cannot stress how crazy this is!

Full explanation in the video below, I highly recommend watching it for an in-depth breakdown of the build.

Although we take points into Storm Strike, it is not used in the rotation. It is simply used to unlock the next section of the Skill Tree.
